As the economic crisis grows and unemployment statistics reach staggering heights, millions of people around the world are turning to the Internet for answers. For those well-trained individuals with computer and Internet skills starting a home business will come easy. For others it can be a very frightening prospect. It is for those many that I hope to help start and succeed with their own Internet Home Business.

There are many reasons to start a home business; financial freedom, debt relief, college tuition, retirement, unemployment, tired of slaving for someone else, spending more time with the family, a dream, and many others. For me it was the following reasons; I was tired of slaving for someone else, I had no retirement except for social security (that is scary).My children's college tuition was gone, I was up to my eyeballs in debt and I wanted a life other then working 6 days a week. Therefore, at 46 I jumped in headfirst, full steam ahead, and started my own home business. When starting a home business you must first answer the following six questions.

Who am I? This question is extremely important to answer. For in answering you will not only define the positive qualities that will help you succeed, you will also define the negative qualities that will prohibit you from fulfilling your dreams. The most important positive quality is belief. You must believe in yourself. The power of belief is phenomenal it is what all successful people have. Do you think Warren Buffet does not believe in himself and those around him? Fear is the most negative quality one can have, but you can turn fear into something positive by turning fear on itself. One of the greatest Presidents of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

What am I going to do? There is a multitude of business opportunities on the Internet. You must choose one that is right for you. Affiliate marketing is one opportunity that a home based business can utilize. This offers residual income, which is extremely important for creating financial stability. After doing extensive research, I discovered the right formula to work from home. While there are numerous income ventures on the Internet, remember the phrase "buyers beware". This adage is more relevant today then ever before.

Where do I want to be next week, next year or even 10 years from now is the third question you must ask yourself. You must have a vision of where you are going. Without a vision, it is easy to lose focus, which can promote failure. When I asked myself this question the answer was simple, I want to be at the top so that ten years from now I can help children with cancer fulfill there dreams. My path is set. Now you must choose.

When are you going to start your new home business? In today's economy, procrastination is a killer. Just think where you might be today if you had started five years ago or when you first started thinking about a home business. The other day my father asked," What are you doing? I sharply answered, I am working on my home business, and I know you do not agree with it. His reply shocked me. He asked if I ever heard of a company called Amway. I said sure, I was going to do it twenty years ago but certain people told me it was nothing but a scam. He replied, "They are one of the most successful home businesses today. I then laughed, for he was one who told me it was nothing but a swindle. There is one thing that I have learned in life, follow your gut and be true to yourself. If you are serious about starting a home business, do not wait until it is too late. Why you are interested in starting a home based business? Do you want to create more income, subsidize your current income, build a retirement fund or simply for the adventure. There is a multitude of reasons for starting a home business. Write your reasons down, and keep them with you as a reminder, so you will stay focused on your destiny.

How am I going to start my own home business is the sixth and final question you must ask yourself. This may seem like a very difficult question but it really is not. It took me awhile to find the right business and support system, but after a lot of research and trying many different opportunities, I have found the secret, and I want to share it with you. Build Wealth America's philosophy is the concept of people helping people. Getting a home business off the ground takes applying yourself, belief in what you are doing, dedication, patience, effort, time, and believing that all things are possible.

You must also remove the word "can't" from your vocabulary. This word will destroy you before you even start. You can do anything if you believe you can. Try this mental exercise, instead of saying, "I can't", replace those words with "I will not". This simple exercise will change your attitude. Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Nothing can stop a man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help a man with the wrong mental attitude."
